Turning ugly city rooftops to beautiful gardens

There’s a touching story of Majora Carter who grew up in the ghetto of South Bronx, NY and wanted to make a change for the better in her neighborhood. I’ll let you hear it straight from her on this video. One of her endeavors is the Sustainable South Bronx Green Roof Project, to transform the city rooftops into green gardens. What better way to reduce the city’s heat source and prevent rain water run off? Pretty soon you’ll be seeing green square patches as you fly over the city.
